# Candidates & Data

> How to import, export, filter, and enrich your candidate data in Lope.

## Overview

The **Candidates** tab is your central database. It holds every profile you’ve sourced, imported, or interviewed. Use this view to manage your talent pool, run bulk actions and keep data clean.

## UI Reference

## How-to Guides

### How to import candidates from CSV

1. Go to the **Candidates** tab.
2. Click the **Import** button in the top-right corner.
3. Select **Import CSV.**
4. Click **Import file** and select the CSV you want to import.
5. Select your preferred client & job.
6. Map your CSV columns to Lope fields (e.g., "First Name" → "Name").
7. Click**Import CSV** . Candidates will appear in your table.

### How to import candidates from CVs

1. Go to the **Candidates** tab.
2. Click the **Import** button in the top-right corner.
3. Select **Import CVs(.zip).**
4. Select the **.zip** file you're looking to import and hit **Open.**
5. Lope will automatically parse all the CVs, create new candidate rows and update all the fields with new information.

### How to enrich candidates

1. Select one or more candidates using the checkboxes on the left.
2. Click the **Enrichment** button in the toolbar that appears.
3. Choose **LinkedIn** or **GitHub** (or both by clicking **Full Enrichment**).
4. Lope will run a background job. When finished, you’ll see a "✨Enriched" notification and updated fields.

### How to export data

1. Select the candidates you're looking to export (one or multiple).
2. Click **Export** in the top-right.
3. A **CSV download** will start immediately with your current column configuration.

## FAQ

**Q: How do I export my entire database?** \
**A:** Go to Candidates, select the "Select All" checkbox in the header, and click **Export.**

**Q: Why is the Enrichment button disabled?** \
**A:** You must select at least one candidate row first and then click **Enrichment** in the toolbar.

**Q: Can I undelete a candidate?** \
**A:** Yes. Immediately after deleting, an "Undo" option appears. If you missed it, contact support to restore records.
